Building Bridges Basketball was created by Philanthropist Zimbabwe Davies. Both community members of Oakland and Oakland/Richmond police officers play basketball games to help bridges the gap and change the environment to break barriers. The basketball game is the ice breaker and the call to action is improving public safety which must be done through difficult conversations "says Zimbabwe".  Building Bridges Basketball is free to the general public and also includes a backpack giveaway for youth, juice bar and face painting.
